Greasecar Customer Profiles

Hi Justin,

I just want to let you know how pleased I am with the Greasecar kit that I just had installed on my 2001 Beetle. Installation was completed yesterday afternoon and I already have nearly 500 grease miles! The system operates flawlessly. Other than occasionally stopping to sniff the exhaust, the only way I know I am running on grease is the total lack of movement on my diesel fuel gage!

While I was waiting for Daryl to finish the installation, I had a chance to visit your shop. Lee gave me a quick tour.

Peter is seen here with Jim the bassist of the band Barenaked Ladies and Adam from the band Guster. Peter's VW Jetta Wagon has had a greasecar system for over a year and a half.

Randall Webber's Greasecar Jetta. Randall included some photos and info about his filtering setup.

Here it is, simple and workable, the filter came with the brass ends, I had to purchase the PVC connections to hook the 3/4 inch I.D. clear vinyl hose to. I bought the garden hose ends at the hardware store also ( like 79 cents each, the PVC adapters were 29 cents a piece). Do NOT heat your oil past 140f the rubber seals for the garden hose connections don't like it. I usually filter 10-15 gallons per filter cartridge.

Zack's 1997 Passat Wagon has been crusin' on grease since October 2002. The wagon holds the famous custom 'piano tank'.

Mike purchased his van in California due to the lack of clean diesel vans in New England. It is a non-enriched turbo-diesel (similar to an eco-diesel.) after a tough start in the Vermont winter he has finally worked out the bugs of his system and is greasing along smoothly. He'll be the first to tell you that there is nothing like dirty injectors to ruin your grease driving pleasure.

Etta Kantor of Weston, CT converted her 2003 Jetta with a Greasecar conversion kit. Read about it in the Stamford Advocate.

Mark Penta picked up this 'lil beauty for $200 after it sat in a field for 4 years, now it is back on the road and burning veggie juice.

Mark has been working on VWs for years but only recently became interested in diesels when he heard about vegetable oil conversion. He had been planning to assemble his own conversion system when he stumbled onto Greasecar and decided heed save himself a little work. Look for him on the the roads of central VT!

Arron Schlector does a lot of driving, commuting between NY and CT but he also needs room. The Jetta Wagon offers the benefits of getting over 40 mpg while offering the cargo space that many working folks need.
