Hello everybody...great news...i have just rolled over 50,000 trouble free miles on my 04 jetta BEW 5 speed. A little back round info for any newbies although i still consider myself one. Bought the car in the end of 2010 with 128,000 on it converted it by 130,000. I travel 120 miles a day, six days a week. Along the way i have had to replace the camshaft(common problem), clutch(dont let your mom drive your car), turbo(last week) all of whom are the weak parts on the BEW engine, none of the parts failed due to wvo. I also have a rocket chip tune stage 1 in the car. The car runs perfect on wvo a little power loss but nothing to get upset over. I make sure I switch over at 190 and purge everytime and drive a few miles before shutdown. I change my oil every 4000 miles and i use lubroly diesel purge every 10,000 miles to keep everything happy. The only problem i had was my veggie pump failed two months ago, which has been put thru a lot, plan to keep an extra one in the trunk.
