Should have more info of this years event and pics of last year. I still have all those promised, STILL NEW IN THE BOX GREASESTOCK '07 Tee shirts for all those that asked for them. I'm holding them ransom. come and get 'em this year. I'm calling on the "Grease Pack" to show up. You all know who you are. Dave, Steve, Don, Phil....... If not just to get together.
There will be prizes again and lots to do and see. Stuff for kids as well. And yes a BAR.
For those who read this forum but who haven't converted yet. This is a great place to start. We had the best of the Mfgr'd kits as well as home built kits. This is the place to ask all those questions about filtering, storage, pumping, locating and identifying good oil.
There will also be folks who do the solar thing as well as the Bio-D thing. So whether you want to convert the car or convert the fuel this is the place to start.
Steve I'm calling you tomorrow. Donnie I'll save you a room. Batteryboy i'll have your medication standing by.

May 18th? Darn it- I got something going on that weekend. Wish you kept it the earlier weekend. I was really looking forward to it.

What's a GS? I'm sure it was a Tahoe or Suburban with a mercedes straight 6 out of a 350, no?
Um....
G as in Grease
S as in Stock

Was it a 6 cyl out of a MB350? I thought it was the 5 cyl OM617 from the 300 series?

I'm 99% sure it was a 6'er. I can't imagine a 5 pushing that tank up a hill. I also remember no turbo so it had to be the 6. Sure was a sharp looking truck. Hey, we're trying to arrange Greasepowered Tractor Hay rides for kiddlings at greasestock. Mini Murph should get a kick out of that eh?
Glad to see you are thinking of the little ones. We are all looking forward to the event.
Phil, this is all about the little ones. Imagine if our fathers were greasers. Gas stations today would have corn stalks as logos instead of Fossilized Clam shells.

That's it!!! junior greaspack'rs tee shirts.

Hey JP,
Ya know being at the GREASESTOCK event that you have hosted for the last three years is more fun than hanging out on the deck of a CARNIVAL cruise sipping a pina colada and watching all the babes in their bikinis... Well anyhow its dam close !

I bought an old SEPTA (South Eastern Pennsylavnia Transportation Authority) maintenance truck. It's a 1993 3500, mechanical injection 6.5L turbo.
I did my own conversion and I'm pretty happy with it.
I still have the Mercedes but it was rear-ended a few months ago and is being totaled.

Can't wait to see the truck Donnie. Ya know, my F-250 has been renamed by my friends as the General Leeeeeeee for it's ability to fly. It was seen with all four wheels 5 feet off the ground before it came to rest in a farm field. It was totalled and resurected by Wally. He did an amazing job. I'm glad I was driving a big truck as I got away with only a torn ligament in my left hand. I have to be carefull when "giving the finger" now because it points to the left.
To Randal, Yes there is a great big lawn for camping. We have had at least 2 campers every year so feel free.
Hello Randall. Where have you been? There are a whole bunch of greasers here who don't even know who you are.
If you make it to Greasestock, we will make sure you get enough fuel to get home.
Any way, welcome back.
Hey Phil,
I don't do cruize ships anymore ! THEY BURN TOO MUCH FOSSIL FUEL !! Anyhow I am psyched up for GREASESTOCK

Big Dave, Never make excuses for having a house cleaner or a Porche. I know what you drive 99% of the time. I know alot of greasers that have toys like hot rods and the lot. Wait till you see the gadget I'm buying in the spring. But what ever you do, don't tell anyone about the L***jet that you bought last year. Unless of course you can get it to fly, i mean run on grease.

Chase, Rif, and anyone else in the W. Mass area who wants to go to this thing, we should do a caravan or carpool. Rif: VEGGIE BUS TRIP! We can load up your short bus and head down there last-day-of-school style. We can even be retarded and stop the bus in traffic, get out, and do a Chinese fire drill, just to mess with people....they'd have to stop when you have those lights going and the stop sign out! Or we could jump out and start refilling your tank with veggie.....public demonstration!
Hey it is on a Sunday that could work... We should be in touch.

Western Mass is practically Westchester county. I guarantee you'll have a great time. Hope to see your caravan.

I would like to meet some of you folk but the 1200 mile drive from the twin cities is a barrier, at least for 2008. Hey, is there a prize for the longest trip to greasestock. If so who is the alltime winner.
Have fun folks, I'd like to go but it happens to be right around my wifes due date.
Had a good time last year!

Kids are the greatest thing in the world. But the birth thing is overrated.
Come to Greasestock!
So far Brian Miller is the distance winner. In the first 3 years folks have driven from Kentucky, Michigan, Mass, CT, PA, NY, NJ, VT, Wisconsin. There are a whole bunch of prizes given throughout the day. Things like virgin oil cubes, Tee shirts, electric veg oil heaters. We promised to give BM enough oil to make the trip back. Well we gave him 80 gallons of what we thought was filtered dewatered oil. He said his WIF light was on the whole trip back. So this year we'll make sure it's new oil for the longest hauler.
OH, BTW we are to have Steve Leung give his demonstration of Home Heating with Veg oil. He has had great success converting a burner head to run on SVO. This will be his second generation unit. This will be just one of his demos.
sweet, gotta convert my home heater
I would like to. I will discuss it with the wife. Do you think it would be appropriate to bring my son along?
This year we are working on grease powered or bio d powered hay rides for the kids. We always get kids so bring 'em. There is a big lawn to run around on as well. The REAL Murph has brought the "Mini Murphs" his kidlings, to all the Greasestocks.
I just got the confirmation from the Solar Powered Race Team at Newberg Free Academy a high school. They were here last year. Kids should get a kick out of this.
Captain Lawrence Brewery has donated his Westchester Micro Brewed wonder beer for the older kids to enjoy(Must be 21)
You'll get a Beer Pass with ID when you check in (Must be 21)
did I mention that you must be 21?
Be there or be square.
My daughter will also be there, again. Totally kid friendly, and great fun for them. The more the better, I say.
Hey JP, how old do you have to be for the beer?
20, I mean 18, no wait, 11, what am I thinking 30. Let me check hold on..........
maybe I'll get near beer.
Phil, What else can we do that'll be fun and interesting for kids?
Please give suggestions
For younger kids, nothing beats an inflatable bouncy house. Slip n slide could work, if it's warm. (adults could enjoy that too, after a few.) Magician/clown will keep 'em quiet for a while. Just a few balloons will go a long way. Giant bubble making stuff. "Arts and crafts" table.
Maybe someone will want to sponsor the bigger activities. If not, I'd be happy to chip in. You supply a table, I'll supply arts and crafts supplies.
JP...
Any idear on how many little ones are expected? Phil is right - the bouncy castles are ALWAYS a hit.
And my memory is worse than I thought it was...I now remember whatshisname that was refilling BBs old wagon through the roof, but I don't remember the spil. But didn't Steve also have a bit of a leak at that same GreaseStock? He was parked right about where Wally's tent was last year.

I'll look in to the castle, and the Pinata sounds ok as long as it's supervised by mom or dad.
That was Andy from Brewster who bought Dave's blue merc wagon.
I don't remember steve spilling. Steve did the oil sucker devise which impressed me, the plastic barrel tapping and the burner head.
How about a greasey T-shirt contest? Or maybe some oil wrestling? :-)

Pinata - done. I havea buddy (Greasy Pots on the forum)driving his grease van back from Mexico right now, and he will throw a Pinata in the back.
So we will have a genuine Mexican Pinata, delivered by greasecar.
Funny thing, I spoke to him today. The van was parked for a few days and some animal chewed through the fuel line - but the diesel, not the veggie. I guess he has to get his oil from a better restaurant.
Hey JP & Peeps,
Whoever guesses the number of cars running over 75% veggy will win a kick butt baddereee that they can use to pump veg or whatever they wanna use it for ( except fro dumpin it in the hudson River)

Dave, if you want to give a prize this year let's get it in the line up . Spell out the parameters and we'll list it the program. There's goin' to be lots of goodies given away and the more the merrier.
Hey Folks, Sammy here. Yeah, it's been forever since I've posted but I plan to be at the 'Stock as in years past. Hope to see as many of the original GreasePack as possible!
Here's the irony. I've got a new Passat now (long story - I'll fill you in at Pratt's) and Daryl will be installing my new kit on May 19, so I won't have an actual greaser to display this year.
What I'm hoping to do is drive it up to JP's and if Daryl is there, have him take it to his shop after greasestock then bum a ride home from one of my CT peeps (as Dave would say). A couple days later I'll find a way back to Mass to pick up my car. Too crazy? Any local folks want to give me a hand?
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone!

woohoo! I'm REALLY gonna try to make it this year (probably camp out or borrow my buddy's trailer). Gonna make the ride from Beantown in my greasestroke (or would that be powergrease...) - maybe one of my green grease monkey roomies will make the trip with me - the mention of beer & the possibility of winning some veggie will probably be enough to get them on board...
