Chico, Ca or surrounding any grease collectors??
looking to find out where you get your grease. I just went to a few places today to try and collect for my first time. I went to one place and they said they dont know if i should take because they sighned a contract with a collection company that says once it goes into the container out back that the company owns it. and get this , the restaurant still has to pay the collection company to collect it. i went to another place and they said it was fine, so i began to pump and before i got any the owner of the burger joint next door came out and accused me of stealing, remeber it wasnt even his grease container. so i asked what he meant and he told me the whole story about owner ship of oil containers etc.. just as the asian lady did.
any way i need help

You will not beleive this, i am going to be in Santa Cruz from Friday (8/6) untill Monday(8/9) for a family members wedding. I have not yet hooked up all of the plumbing for the extra tank, i was going to do that at my parents house after this weekend, my dad has more tools and room. But i do have some buckets with lids that i plan on using for collection. I am going to try again today and the rest of the week but if i have no luck I would love it if you could donate 5-10 gallons to get me started.
thanks alot for the offer

"we work hard for you so we can plaayyy on the weekendes"
Will,
do this: find some smaller asian restaurants, preferable the ones that do not even have grease bins out back. A lot of them just put the oil back in the 5 gallon containers they get it in and throw it away. Find a 50 gallon drum and ask them to put all the oil into that, then when it is full come over and pump it out. Even if they only go through 5 gallons a week, find ten good restaurants like that and you are set. The idea is to cut the corporate WVO companies out of the deal before they ruin it for everyone.
Paul
where in California can I find 50 gallons a day ? Thanks.

That is true, though most owners don't usually care. You can provide a restraunt with your own container to fill, then the oil belongs to YOU. If you find a great source of oil, you can always have the restraunt recontract their oil agreement with you. They have to pay to get the oil taken away anyway.
By the way, I'm a few hundred miles from you down here in Santa Cruz. If you are ever coming down here, I could hook you up with a free tank of oil for your trip home, or wherever...
