Hello all! My buddy uninstalled his greasecar setup from his car and gave it to me. He doesn't have the original installation manual and isn't sure of what parts I need to replace. Does anyone have the parts list? What would you recommend I replace?

It is on a 2001 Golf TDI.
I am going to clean up the parts that I have and post pictures to attempt to figure out what I need.

Thanks, GreeceMonkey

Probably the pex (fuel line for the hose in hose).  Everything else should be okay if it cleans up well and works.

Is there a place to get a list of all of the parts i need? Also, the tank is a mess and covered in WVO. What is the best way to clean it?

Thanks, K

I'm not sure a parts list ever existed, per se.  My installation manual has no seperate parts list; it just tell you what to do with the parts that came with it.  Basically, you need the tank, the filter, two lengths of heater hose (one 5/8 and one 3/4) the pex or aluminum fuel line, another 5 feet or so of regular fuel line to connect the valves and filters to the lines, two valves, a switch or two and all the fittings to connect everything together.  Do you have the  hose-in-hose termination fitting that was in the car?   You might also want a temperature gauge, maybe a fuel pressure gauge and an electric or coolant heat exchanger.
Lots of ways to clean it.  Start by scraping off as much as you can, then switch to a cleaning solution.  I've used oven cleaner, and it works well, but you have to be careful with it (just like when you are cleaning your oven).  I think I've heard of people using Purple Power as well as a few others.  Search the forum.  You could look on the Frybrid Forum too - it has a search function.

Greasecar should get paid from these kinds of post that has nothing to do with greasecar business.

I leave this website when I see these kinds of post shown up.

these kinds of post

I am referring to those posts that were deleted by Rick.
Those posts have nothing to do with greasing stuff, but give you a link to go somewhere for something else.
Rick works hard on cleaning up this forum everyday. Thank you.

Sorry to create the confusion here.
