how good are the instructions?

I'm a handy guy.  I can fix most anything with time and google.  but I can't find much how to on a WVO install.  I find blogs but no detail.
Are the instructions that come with these kits compleat enugh so that someoene who "thinks" they can install, suficent.
 
at this point it's me and a shade tree diesel mecanic buddy of mine.

Are you referring to GC kits?
Yes, the instructions are complete and easy to follow There will be no problem at all for a handy guy plus a shade tree mechanic.

The Ford instructions are not complete. It does not cover installation of the heat exchanger or tank fittings.

I've done GC on Mercedes, old VW, and 2 12 valve Dodge trucks.
All had good instructions.
