International VT365 6.0 on grease?
I have purchased a motorhome (Gulfstream Conquest Super C) and now with warranty issues less an issue I would like to add it to my WVO lineup. I do have concerns with the 6.0 injectors as they are the same as Ford used. The motor has not had the issues as badly as Fords 6.0 because many of the "add-ons" were designed by Navistar specifically for the 6.0 where Ford was contractually connected to some add on manufacturers. One big difference is the International has a very heavy duty mechanical fuel pump instead of electric like Fords version. That of course means a return loop will be needed in the kit.
I have read that some injectors have gone bad because they have a small screen on the incoming fuel that blows out. I would think that could be an issue with WVO especially if it is not up to temperature before switchover. As far as splicing into the
diesel system the International uses the same banjo fittings in the front and back as Fords do. The Vegistroke V3 should work
well from what I would think. Any of you Ford guys please chime in as I am wanting to do a conversion this winter for next years travels.
The truck chassis will be easy to work with because the hood swings up like any semi and the dual 70 gallon tanks make it easy for the wvo tank conversion.
The motor is a 2007 -3 years of fixes made it a better motor than the first 2003's. It is still a 6.0 though.
Any ideas and thoughts will be appreciated.
