Mobile CF Filtration System
I'm am assembling a TRULLY mobile, on-board WVO filtration system using an open bowl CF to be installed in the bed of my newly restored in and out '69 Chev 3/4 trk. I'm installing a high performance Perkins straight 6, 354 ci, 250 hp turboed engine mated to a Fuller 10 speed manual tranny. The plan is to pick up WVO I pass through town and filter while driving on the road. I have the parts but not assembled into a system yet: two 18 gal ploy tanks (#1 tank to receive the raw WVO, #2 tank to accept the cleaned VO; a 2000/4000 watt inverter to power the 110 AC electric CF motor; Shurflo 12 VDC pump to transfer VO; Fill-Rite 12 VDC to pump from dumpster; two solunoids to direct oil to one of 4 tanks; gate valve, build a in-tank HE. I made two tanks (34 gals each) to fit in the bed forward of the wheel wells that will be used for the CF'd VO. I've been cleaning my WVO with an open bowl CF for over 5 yrs and very happy with the ease of cleaning and oil quality and dewatering - raw 675 ppm to CF'd 75 ppm. Details if you are interested. Anyone else have a truly mobile system? Like to hear from you.
