Peugeot 505?
July 19, 2004 - 9:05pm
I've been looking to purchase a diesel wagon, and run on biodiesel and eventually switch to wvo. The mb 300td seemed to be my best choice, but finding an inexpensive one in seattle, where demand seems to be pretty high, has been a real challenge. I've just found a 1985 peugeot 505 turbo diesel wagon for about $700, that seems to have a decent engine and transmission, but may need some other work. Has anyone had experience running these cars on biodiesel and grease? Do they have similar longevity to the mb's? Will parts be impossible to find? Any other input?
thanks,
josh

get a mercedes wagon, they run forever, and the parts will be easer to find too, they love to run on veggie my 85 300d turbo has run close to 14,000 miles on veggie, with no major problems, just clogged filters once in awhile
