I found the GE style whole house filtering housings for $20.48. This is the cheapest I have seen. (www.farmtek.com and search for filters)

Can anyone point me to the least expensive place to buy the actual filters?

Thanks,
mjr

I'm buying on http://www.mcmaster.com For a case of 30 your looking at about $2.15 each or $65 plus shipping. Goto page 321 in the catalog or search "Filter Cartridges". I just got the "Polypropylene with Polypropylene Core" at 5 and 30 micron. McMasters is fast and reliable with a great web site.

If you look, I've seen them on eBay from time to time at about $1 each if you buy 50 or 100.

I ended up buying 30 on ebay yesterday for around $1.30 a piece.

The Farmtek site emailed last night indicated my housings had been shipped. I was happy to find those. I did not check McMasters and Carr first, but feel very comfortable with the price. I do hope this set up works well. I was trying hard to avoid paying the price of the FX1 100 industriall filter housing.

I stopped by the bar and grill where I'll get a good bit of my grease and my contact walked me through how he'll filter the grease before he puts it out back. I'm pretty sure there will be good quality fuel from this source.

Good day,

Growl - The last time I looked on Ebay I could not find the filters. I figured that source had dried up. Must Be Vigilant.

Herbivore Motors is the E-Bay store...I think. I searched "Journey filters." They have release a canister filter aparatus called "Grease Beast" and are now selling the replacements. Seem to be nice folks, dedicated to getting clean grease.
