In the event that another studio potter ever finds this forum (when i first found it there was another potter asking about using wvo but at the time i wasn't sure and never heard back from him) i will post a link to my site that contains some info about my 70 cubic foot kiln, which is fired to 2350 F entirely on wvo. The same concept could be used to heat a residential furnace, and in fact i got most of my info from people doing just that.
I am still doing some modifications and for the next firing will replace the gravity feed system with a pump-pressure feed system, which should allow for over 400,000 btu's per hour per burner. But i have done several firings with the set up pictured in the site with no problems.
The rest of the site is still under construction but coming along.
