FYI about the lift pump and injection pump.
‘89-‘93 Owners – If the mechanical fuel transfer pump (driven by a lobe on the engine’s camshaft fails there is no
damage to the engine’s fuel injection pump. The mechanical transfer pump has a long life-to-failure and replacement
parts can be obtained at your Cummins distributor. Should the transfer pump not operate, the engine will not
start/run. There will not be any damage done to the Bosch VE-style fuel injection pump that is downstream of the
fuel transfer pump. It is not necessary to monitor the fuel pressure from the fuel transfer pump.
I think GC kit use the same lift pump for diesel and veggie.
Bosch VE-style pump was used in Benz and VW, known good in running WVO.
