I just checked my coolant hoses and found some chafed areas on the hoses (in the engine compartment of course). I protected the coolant hoses with a short section of scrap coolant hose held in place with Plastic wire ties when I installed the kit. (split the short section lengthwise) Some of these protective pieces were nearly worn through and a couple of unprotected areas of hose showed damage. I highly recomend checking your coolant hoses and wiring for chafing/damage every couple of months.

I second that. Chafing has been the only problem I have had with my kits. I also started wrapping extra coolant lines around suspect areas. Also do same thing with lines near anything that might get really hot like the head, turbo, or exhaust pipe. It's a good idea to do regular inspections on all hoses and clamps. Could save ya from getting stuck somewhere you don't want to be.
The coolant hoses on my vehicle were run somewhat shabbily underneith the car and had always hung down. Even driving on these rough roads the small brace that it was attached with broke and they hung low and wore through. I lost all my coolant within minutes and was on the side of the road quickly. No fun!
