Coldest day of the year so far yesterday, took '84 300d benz out CC skiing last night, 19 degres whn we left, 6 when we returned.  10+ miles each way, never switched over to VO, first time that has happened... But what worries me more is that after skiing I came back to car and noticed copilot was still on (lit up)  made a stop on way home, came back to car after and hour or so and was again lit up.  So it appears it is not shutting off.  Worried about other things it may or may not be doing- what if it son't switch over or flush?!  Is it the cold or something else?  I have seen this maybe 2x before in the 16 months I have had it- but never twice in a row.  When I parked it at home for the night I unplugged copilot so as not to drain battery.

The Copilot Yellow wire should be plugged into Ignition power (switched 12v source) in your fuse box, I would check the connection with a multi meter by turning the key on ( 12V ) then switching the key off ( No power). Find a connection that will do this and it will rectify this issue.  To properly reset the Copilot follow these steps:

  1. Press and hold down Menu button until it reads Config.
  2. Once in Config Press down Menu button again this time Holding it for about 10 seconds, until the display only reads
    “reset”.
  3. Once the screen goes blank, turn the ignition off, and allow the unit to power down, or carefully unplug the USB connection on the side of the Display unit for about 5 seconds and reconnect.
  4. Upon next use, all factory values will be returned to their preset out-of-box settings.
