The Greasecar kit works this way. The coolant line to the tank has the fuel line inside (hose-in-hose) making it a stretched out heat exchanger. The fuel then goes into the fuel filter, which is heated by a coolant heated copper coil around it. From there the fuel goes to the fuel pump and the injection pump. The coolant flow should be the opposite direction of the fuel flow to make the heat exchange effective.
This setup seems to work well.
