I must say sir you have some skills. Are you thinking about placing a temperature gauge right before the fuel port going into the engine? You’re going to need to know that information to keep everything running smoothly and safely. You also might want to look into getting a FPHE, and wrapping up the fuel lines too. The distance from the tool box and engine is pretty far away/ windy. Are you going to be using a homemade hose on hose or a hose in hose?

Aluminum. Tih from box to engine then short runs of ptfe hose to the heads. Temp gauge at the t fitting. Pressure. Fitting in back.
going to make tih this wknd. A long enough tih in 3/4 hose should do the job of fphe. If temps are low will add fphe in rear before tih.

Be carefull with the copper line around your filter.
I noticed a "kink" in the copper.
I would check that out on a regular bases.
I know It is a real pain in the a$$ rolling that copper tubing.
What did you fill your tubing with prior to "rolling"?
We used salt and a small section of PVC to roll the copper.
Once done, we had to clean out the salt very well.
Overall, doing this was a real PITA!

Heated and reshaped the kink. It looks worse in pics than it is. It was salt filled.must have had a air pocket.did 2 flow tests passed real good.

Air pockets suck! We had one person down the stairs, one person at the top of the stairs and one person pouring the salt while the other two vibrated the hell our of it!
I am currently comming up with a better / cleaner water exchanger for my wvo filter in my Powerstruggle...........
I just need 28 hours in a day.........

I just R&R'd my 80-gallon tank in order to change out some internal items as well as clean it out.
The tank and guts were PERFECT with very little debris.
This one problem I experienced will be the same problem that will be-fall you. When you take off your diamond plate cover in the future, be prepared to have larger diameter self tapping screws on hand. The existing holes in the aluminum tank will strip. I went from size 10 self tappers to size 12 tappers today. I also stopped using high temp gasket for that was the bulk of my debris in the tank. I cut a gasket out of EPDM rubber roofing membrane (that I had laying around in my shop) instead.
I'll let you know how it holds up.

Pay no attention to the ball breaking I do with Miller. It is done with great affection and admiration towards him.

No switching valves. No return.
It's a deadhead, check valve design. Vegistroke style.
The ford uses fuel rails cast in the head. One end is fed diesel the other is plugged. By putting a check valve on diesel line after filter, vo cant go that way.
Remove the 2 plugs from heads feed vo there. At back of systsm put another CV before vo filter, stops d2 from going that way. Put a 2 port valve tee'd in to vo line, valve opens heads flush out. It's 2 independent fuel systems that75 psi from pump foward, no air leaks this way, just drips to look for. So when vo pump is on d2 is powered off. It's a easy simple conversion without all the clutter under the hood.

just to let you know. I have use fphe on my fords and they restrick fuel pressure. and when your pressure drops you have poly in the fphe. this has happened after 20,000 miles.

I got the design from people with lots of vo miles and expirence over at frybrid/the diesel stop and bft forums. It's design is from the original fn74/Vegistroke system.most parts come from discount hydraulic supply , mcmaster Carr and ebay. Wvo designs uses the same desidn in his plans just not enough heat..
Thats the switching system, nice and simple.

Going to run both at 70-75 psi. Some have gone into the 80-90 range.

so if your deadheading with no return and you set the psi to 70 and at idel your truck needs 35 psi. you dont think your going to burnout the pump? or blow a hose or clamp off?

All the hose is rated way over that. Stock it's running 65 after the bowl. And with the split shot injectors theres spikes upward of 150 psi at start up. It's a proven design many are running it. The most common failure is cheap 1/8" cv's being used in the heads. Thats why the bigger cv moved back further in the d2 line.

As far as burning the pump out it feeds the regulator witch has a return on it to bypass excess pressure. So it will always have vo moving thru it.

You got that done quick, mine took all summer working on it as time allowed. I never thought of real hydraulic line on the engine, the summit braided lines kept leaking at the diy ends had lines made up with crimped ends. Here's the engine work on mine.

I dont do HIH. and i left the stock diesel alone.. as far as getting it done, I have been doing this for 11 years 582,000 veggie miles. so i have most of the parts to do all 4 of my powerstroke. I put my check valve back by my veggie pump so i can Prime and flush my veggie lines.. your looks great and again thanks for all the info. I had to do this because of the poly in my diesel fuel line after the fuel bowl in my excursion. this will solve that problem

I got the duck tape pics covered. Look at first pics, filter lines were taped shut, and turbo taped off during install. We have all colors available, black, blue, grey, red, and camo. Can't live in south with out a large assortment.
