I have converted a Mazda Bravo (Australian Model) 2.5ltr Turbo. The engine is an indirect injection model with a Zexel distribution type injection pump.
WVO is heated via a hose-in-hose system and the return line is looped back to between the WVO tank and a 12volt fuel pump. I am using a Polak 6-port valve.
The fuel lines and valves, barbs, etc are all 8mm or larger.
The oil is clean (1 micron filtration).
The engine will run for about 4 to 5 minutes and than gradually loose power. I have added a second fuel pump and now the engine will run 8 to 10 minutes before loosing power.
I have tried to use a high performance pump, but it does not cope with WVO very well.
Am I on the right track in assuming that my 12v pumps are too wimpy. If so, any suggestions as to what brand to get?
Thanks, OT
