Is anyone having issues with the new GC filters? These ones: http://www.greasecar.com/product_detail.cfm?prodID=7
I had 3 brand new ones. They ran for about 500 miles each, then died. I went back to the Fleetguards and am back at 3000+ on the first one back. No difference with prefiltering or any part of the process. Ideas?
Ill give you an update when I know. Ive done about 400 miles on my first filter of this new type. I do 100 miles a day, give or take, so ill know soon too.

I ended up getting 1100 miles out of my first filter. I'll keep testing. My theory on filters is I don't mind changing them a bit more often, it means they're collecting more gunk.
500 miles would be a bit excessive, though.

The Wix filters I got through Napa are doing really well. Seem to be getting thousands of miles again. Probably will stay away from the current GC filters, went through 3 of them. Haven't changed any part of the filtering.

I usually use the Autozone FF765 filter. I usually get thousands of miles with them. I tried NAPA filters once and only got 400 miles. The guy at NAPA said the NAPA filters were "better." He did also mention that some filters have a "bypass" so that when they get full, they allowed unfiltered oil to go through. He said that the AZ filter was bypassing.
Not sure if that is really what is happening.
