I want to install a probe type coolant heated pickup horizontrall in the front tank . I found a black iron flange ("floor flange" ) at HD wich has the center theaded pipe hole I need and four holes for screws. I would inert the tank with dry ice or running exhaust and drill one large hole for the center of the flange and 4 smaller hole for sheet metal screws. I would sand the tank contact surface and coat screw the flang on using JB Weld or Permatex Right Stuff as a sealant (or other material , what?) in lieu of welding . This would save me a lot of time on R&R and cleaning of the tank and risk of explosion from welding or brazing .
Will it hold and not leak ? -Thanks
