HI all. I was trying to clean my used veggie oil tank, so I emptied the tank, and put in diesel fuel. now at the clear plastic fuel filter right before the main fuel filter for the WVO system is showing green fuel color, and the car doesn't run at all. Base on the color of the fuel, could it be coolant? Please help.....

Well easy way to answere that is it the same color as your coolant? Coolant comes in a LOT of colors. Also is your coolant now running low? that tank in the back there would probably hold all the coolant your car circulates if that was the issue.

What is your tank heat exchanger(HE) and tubing from outside to heat exchanger made of? I'm especially interested in the tubing that goes from the wall of the tank to the HE.

Possible you caused a leak when cleaning if it is aluminum line. If made out of rubber hose it's possible the diesel degraded it. Diesel is rough on rubber not designed to hold diesel.

Let us know what you find.

I found the problem. It turns out the problem was the fuel line that is inside of the coollant line that goes into the little plastic fuel filter for the WVO set up. Here is what I did. I disconnected the T, and slower pulled out the fuel line since the fuel filter still shower green fluid. I pulled out a fuel line that was about 5 feet long, and I am guess the other half is still in the coolant tube that goes back to my wvo tank. Now where and what kind of fuel line I need to get? I am planning to disconnect the whole line from the tank, and pull the whole 20 some feet of robber tube out, and run the new lines in. Any suggestion on the fuel lines? Thanks.

I like the stuff i got with my greasecar kit its a rigid platic tubeing. I think its called pex tube it's held up very well for me. Wonder how your fuel line got broken this is literarly the first case i have heard of. Hope the pump is ok never a good thing to suck coolant into the IP.

mcmaster.com has pex tubing that would do the trick for you. Just do a search for it on the site. That site has everything and it's where greasecar told me to pick up parts if i ever broke anything. ;)

It's creepy.

You could use cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) tubing, or you could get some aluminum tubing which will transfer heat much better.

I'd hesitate to use scraps cobbled together as Wallystroke mentioned, any connections will serve as a restriction for either the fuel flow or the coolant flow.
