Danger if tank air release clogs?

When one of my truck's 40 gallon grease tanks' air release valves gets clogged the metal sides of the tank suck in, and out sometimes, and they release a lot of air pressure if you open the gas cap. Anyone know if this is a problem or if there is any danger of an explosion or anything? The tank that does this is admittedly a cheap Golden Fuel Systems tank. Thanks.

A vented fuel tank cap will take care of the problem.  Expansion and contraction of an aluminum tank might create cracks in the welds.
