The Volkswagen Rabbit (known as the Golf in Europe) was introduced in 1977 and was first offered with a 1.5L diesel engine.  Production for the US market moved to Westmoreland PA in 1979 and the 1.5L engine was replaced with a 1.6L a few years later.  In 1983 a turbo-diesel 1.6L option was offered.  This complete conversion kit is suitable for the entire Rabbit line through 1984 and includes our 11.5 gallon tire well tank.
